"Golf is like a love affair. If you don't take it seriously, it's no fun; if you do take it seriously, it breaks your heart."

About Author

David Lihn - Founder, CEO. Prior to creating Lihn's Golf Guides, Mr. Lihn was a Wall Street attorney, business consultant and author. He co-wrote a sports fitness book with two-time U.S. Open champion Ernie Els in 2001 that was published by Random House.

He is a sports enthusiast who plays baseball (he pitched in the Dominican League in New York's Central Park), tennis (he, along with Arthur Ashe, was one of the founders of the Harlem Junior Tennis Program in New York City in 1982-and still plays competitively), golf (only occasionally because he is always interviewing, observing and writing while on the links), and bikes with his beagle when he isn't riding on golf carts or spending time with his three children, Willie, Hank and Katie.

When David launched LGG, he was involved with every facet of publishing the Guide including writing, sales, circulation, graphics, accounting and production. Using a blend of determination, passion and creativity, he has for seven years successfully built and run LGG as a high-end and respected international golf and travel publication, surviving cataclysmic events (9/11, the tsunami) that caused major downturns in the travel and leisure industry.

Currently, he focuses the majority of his efforts on writing and creating strategies to improve the depth and reach of the Guide.

David is a graduate of Columbia College and Columbia University School of Law.
